Design , install and commission of an automation system for a trenching machine, called Geocast. The trenching machine is able to dig trenches up to 6m deep by 300mm wide. Concurrently with digging the machine is able to cast a concrete wall so that digging and concreting are done in one operation. The machine uses an auto guidance and control system. The Overflow park in Sydney Olympic Park is the relocation site for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Cauldron. ControlTec designed, installed and commissioned the control for the water, lights and flame operation for the Cauldron.
